About The Team

We are a high school robotics team out of Apple Valley MN. Every year we have 6 weeks to build a robot for a competition that we have never seen before.

What We Do.

Our team is comprised of students and mentors each specializing in a field of engineering whether it’s mechanical, electrical, or programing. In addition to competitions and building robots. We also advocate for the ISD 196 STEM program and other STEM programs around the state of Minnesota.

Mechanical

We work with an aluminum composite of 80% aluminum and 20% copper (80/20 for short) to build the frame of our robot and any gizmos we need, such as a platform for our T-Shirt cannon to shoot off from our robot. We also use our experience with power tools, shop machines, and 3D printers to help us fabricate parts we may need.

Electrical

Our team uses various motor controllers and processing units to explore how to properly wire a robot and expand skills that could be used in careers later in life. We use Jaguars, Sparks, Victors and Talons to control our systems for moving or processing information.

Programing

Our Team 2667 programmer creates a software that is used to control the robot. We mainly use Java for our robots, it brings a lot of challenge, but with hard work, we are able to create something that is usable before the FIRST competition.
